Primary Care in Suwanee, GA

Insurance companies have dictated that my training and Board Certifications in Emergency Medicine and even Urgent Care I am not qualified to be a Primary Care Physician. I have delivered over 120 babies into the world, treated heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, and hypertension. There are literally hundreds of patients that are walking upon this earth healthier, happier, and will live long, happy, productive lives because I took the time to treat them as a Person and a Patient with a problem. Regardless of how the insurance companies categorized the patient. Well, as things do Push came to Shove and the insurance companies essentially told me I couldn’t treat anything but coughs and colds and the occasional ankle sprain.

Family Practice Boards insisted I take two years and do a “mini” residency (after 20 years experience and two other Board certifications). Well, that just didn’t appeal to me. So I contacted another Board Certification Organization who actually looked at my experience and training and said if I could pass their Board Exam, and then send them the records of 10 patients I had treated, they would make up an oral examination based on these patients.

If I could pass their Board Examination then they would grant me Board Certification in General Practice and Surgery. The whole process took 6 months but in January of 2025 I was awarded Board Certification in General Practice and Family Medicine. I immediately put this to the test and applied for Credentials in Primary Care with Medicare. All other insurance companies follow their lead since they also require “supplemental” part B policies. I must have mailed out dozens of copies of my board certifications but it worked. I was now officially Board Certified in General Practice and Family Medicine. And Emergency Medicine. And Urgent Care Medicine. And a PhD in Biochemistry with a Fellowship in Laboratory Medicine. Low and Behold, The insurance companies now deemed me qualified to actually treat patients. The process is slow, as are insurance companies, but one at a time we are being credentialed with the insurance companies as a Primary Care Physician. In addition, Dr. Perry and Dr Dixon have admitting privileges at the hospitals in close proximity to each clinic.

So, What exactly is Primary Care?

Simply put it is Your health, Your Schedule. A constant source of concern and issue is the ability of seeing a Health Care Provider when you want to see them. When you are ill, or have concerns, or simply need a prescription: you don’t need to hear that no one is available for 3 weeks. We are redefining Primary Care for when you need it. You may schedule an appointment for when you are available, or just simply walk in.

One thing that makes Dr. Perry different is that he Listens, and is well known for his ability to explain why your symptoms are there and how the best way to treat them makes sense to the patient. His vast range of experience and training allow him to treat a multitude of issues. From coughs and sore throats to sutures to broken bones. There is no one size fits all in medicine. But, you can be sure that everyone who works at his clinics have the same level of commitment to your care.

This is Primary Care the way it’s supposed to be.
